I’m starting to realize how much of a control complex I actually have.

The twenty-five year project:
My sisters and I have made a pact. We’ve endeavored to recreate my parents wedding from the ground-up. My dear mother and father (whom I love and cherish with every droplet of sweat and every thump of my heart) are hitting a milestone, sharing their silver anniversary this October. We’re hunting down the guest list, renting the exact river suite they exchanged their ‘I do’s’ in, and hope to mirror every other morsel we can from the wedding hoopla.

I’ll sleep when I’m dead.

I love places that remind you how big the world is and how teeny tiny your problems are. I feel ready to take on anything that comes my way this year.

You are courageous.

I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve written anything substantial on here. This blog has almost become all about me posting random things that I think are cool or little projects that I’ve worked on.

Check out this video that I produced for The Weal, if only because the music is utterly fantastic. Local music FTW.

The Tallest Man On Earth

"The Gardner"

A: “Hey, have you ever heard of The Tallest Man on Earth?”
K: “No, never.”
A: “Crazy. Well, I bought us tickets to his show.”

Thanks, sister.

Song: The Gardner by The Tallest Man on Earth, aka the lovely Kristian Matsson.

I had the opportunity to film little Jaxon Smith perform at SAIT last weekend. Five-year-old Jax is the son of Global News Sports Anchor Kevin Smith (it was a pleasure to meet you!), and there’s an abundance of talent wrapped up in his tiny little frame.

I’m charmed by the obvious bond between this music-loving father and son. Adorable all around. Jaxon Smith, you have a new fan in me.
